Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor reflects on their defeat to Man City

Manchester City Women completed a dramatic comeback against Chelsea Women at Stamford Bridge, overturning a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2. It was a challenging result for the home side after establishing an early advantage.

The Match: Chelsea appeared in control, leading 2-0 as late as the 85th minute after goals from Erin Cuthbert (8') and Sam Kerr (59').


The Comeback: Mary Fowler scored for Manchester City in the 86th minute, followed by an equalizer from Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw in stoppage time (\(90+1'\)) to force extra time.


The Winner: Shaw struck again in the 103rd minute with a header to seal the victory.


The Result: Manchester City will play Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on May 31, 2026.
