Chelsea are reportedly preparing an improved contract offer for promising defender Josh Acheampong as they look to secure his long-term future amid growing interest from London rivals Arsenal.
The Blues view the young defender as an important part of their long-term plans and are determined to keep him at Stamford Bridge. His potential, versatility and ability to compete at a high level have strengthened Chelsea’s belief that he could become a key figure in their defensive setup for years to come.
Arsenal’s reported interest adds another dimension to the situation, with Chelsea keen to make their commitment to Acheampong clear through a potentially lucrative new deal.
From Chelsea’s perspective, the message is straightforward: Acheampong is not a player they are willing to let go easily. The club considers him effectively untouchable and sees retaining his services as a priority rather than entertaining offers from rival clubs.
With both clubs focused on building squads capable of competing for major honours, Acheampong’s future could become an interesting storyline to follow. Chelsea will hope a new contract can put an end to any uncertainty and reinforce their plans for the talented defender.
Chelsea fans, would you keep Josh Acheampong at all costs, even if Arsenal made a huge offer? 💙
