Peter Crouch has jokingly warned Jordan Henderson against touching the Chelsea badge during celebrations, despite expressing his happiness at the midfielder’s impressive performance for the Blues.

Henderson caught attention with his contribution to Chelsea’s emphatic 5-1 victory over Bournemouth, scoring twice and delivering an outstanding performance. His free-kick goal was particularly impressive, with Crouch revealing that the midfielder had practised the same technique during training.

Crouch praised Henderson for translating his work on the training ground into match-day success. He also highlighted the amusing story involving Cole Palmer, who reportedly encouraged Henderson to celebrate with him in a particular area if he found the back of the net.

However, the former England striker had a light-hearted objection to one aspect of Henderson’s celebrations: his gesture towards the Chelsea badge.

Although Crouch admitted he was delighted for Henderson and acknowledged their personal relationship, he suggested the midfielder should avoid repeating the gesture.

Crouch’s comments add a humorous twist to Henderson’s memorable afternoon at Stamford Bridge, as the experienced midfielder continues to make a positive impression at Chelsea through his goals, leadership and contribution to the team.
