Chelsea have made an impressive start to their Premier League campaign under Xabi Alonso, with their position in the top four highlighting the progress made despite a challenging run of fixtures.
The Blues have already faced six teams currently sitting in the league’s top 10, yet remain firmly in contention near the top of the table. With just eight points separating Chelsea from first place, the London club have given themselves a strong platform to build on.
Their achievements are particularly notable considering the absence of key players, including João Pedro and Moisés Caicedo, who have both been important figures in the squad.
Alonso has had to navigate these challenges while managing a demanding schedule and facing some of the strongest sides in the division. Chelsea’s ability to remain competitive during this period reflects the work being done by the Spanish manager.
Although there is still plenty of room for improvement, the results so far suggest that Alonso’s contribution deserves greater appreciation.
With important players expected to return and the season still having a long way to go, Chelsea will be hoping to maintain their momentum and strengthen their position among the Premier League’s leading teams.
