Chelsea midfielder Roméo Lavia made a special trip to Belgium on Saturday to watch his boyhood club, R.S.C. Anderlecht, just hours after delivering an impressive performance against Manchester United.
Lavia was in action at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea secured a 2-0 Premier League victory over United. The Belgian international played a crucial role in the opening goal, winning possession in midfield before setting up Morgan Rogers to score.
Following the match, Lavia travelled to Brussels to watch Anderlecht take on Westerlo at the Lotto Park.
The Belgian side went on to secure a convincing 4-1 victory, with Lavia watching from the stands alongside fellow former Anderlecht academy player Nathan De Cat.
Lavia's presence was a reminder of his strong connection to the club where he began his footballing journey before continuing his development at Manchester City.
The Chelsea midfielder's decision to attend the match highlighted his continued support for the club that helped shape his career, even as he continues to establish himself at Stamford Bridge.
