Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has reassured supporters that Cole Palmer remains an important part of the club’s long-term plans, dismissing any suggestion that the midfielder could leave Stamford Bridge.
Speaking about the club’s position on Palmer’s future, Alonso made it clear that Chelsea have no intention of parting ways with the England international.
“Absolutely! He was always part of the plans,” Alonso said.
The Blues boss also revealed that there had been no discussions about Palmer leaving the club, reinforcing Chelsea’s commitment to keeping their attacking star.
“There were zero discussions about Cole Palmer not being here,” he added.
Alonso’s comments will come as a boost to Chelsea supporters, with Palmer continuing to be viewed as a key figure in the club’s ambitions.
The 23-year-old has established himself as one of Chelsea’s most influential players since arriving from Manchester City, and his importance to the team remains unquestioned.
For now, the message from Alonso is clear: Palmer is part of Chelsea’s future, and the club has no plans to change that.
