Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has stressed the importance of giving Cole Palmer the right support as the Blues prepare for their Premier League encounter against Manchester United.
Alonso acknowledged that maintaining top performances in high-profile matches can be challenging, particularly when facing opponents with strong individual qualities and the ability to disrupt attacking play.
The Chelsea boss believes the responsibility should not fall solely on Palmer and other attacking players, insisting that the team must help them receive the ball in dangerous positions and remain involved throughout the game.
Alonso explained that Chelsea need to create the right conditions for their forwards to influence matches, with good movement, effective passing and stronger connections between teammates playing a crucial role.
The Spaniard also made it clear that Palmer, alongside the rest of the attacking unit, must deliver a strong performance when Chelsea face Manchester United.
With the Blues looking to bounce back from recent disappointing results, Palmer's contribution could prove important as Alonso's side aim to return to winning ways.
